Terry Spahl, DDS, a clinician with 35 years experience and is the principle author of a trilogy of the most widely published orthodontic textbooks in the United States. He has been in the private practice of TMJ and related Orthodontics since 1971. Dr. Spahl is a highly respected leader in the field of TMJ treatment and was the 1992 American Association of Functional Orthodontics Clinician of the Year.

Walt Pfitzinger, DDS, MS is uniquely qualified to teach the general dentists. He began over 30 years ago as a solo pediatric dentist. His practice has now expanded into a large, family oriented, general practice. A practice which focuses on total patient care with a special emphasis on adult cosmetic dentistry and interceptive orthodontics for young patients.


Brock Rondeau, DDS, lectures on the subject of orthodontics, orthopedics, snoring and TMJ and is recognized as one of the leaders in the orthodontic profession in the area of early treatment and functional appliances. Dr. Rondeau has an impressive list of credentials including being named the American Association of Functional Orthodontics 1988 Man of the Year, the first Canadian to win this prestigious award. He is also a diplomat of the International Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Rondeau is a Past President and Senior Instructor for the International Association for Orthodontics, which is comprised of approximately 3,500 general dentists who provide orthodontic services for their patients.


Ray Padilla, DDS, has lectured internationally on Sports Dentistry and is on faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry, Department of Hospital Dentistry. His involvement in Sports Dentistry includes being on the dental staff of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles; Dental Commissioner for World Cup Soccer 1994; and presently team dentist for the (MLS) Los Angeles Galaxy. He has published many articles on mouthguards, injury treatment, and prevention in periodicals such as the Journal of the American Dental Association and Sports Illustrated for Kids.


Clayton A Chan, DDS, is a general dentist who practices neuromuscular dentistry in San Diego, California and Las Vegas, NV. He formerly was the Director of the Neuromuscular Dental Center at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He lectures extensively on neuromuscular occlusion and bioinstrumentation in the United States and abroad. He holds Mastership status in the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics.


Dr. John N. Groper is a Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, and was three times named Pediatric Dental Resident Faculty Person of the Year. In 2010, he received the Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Award for the Division of Dental Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Groper was past chairman of Pediatric Dentistry at USC, and has been associated with the dental school for forty-six years. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American College of Dentistry, a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member of the OKU Honor Society. He has lectured nationally and internationally, and is the author of twenty published articles. Presently, he is an attending dentist in the division of Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and heads the naso-alveolar molding section for cleft lip and cleft palate babies.


Jay Reznick, MD, DMD, is a native of Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkely. He graduated from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed an internship in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California, and a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at L.A. County/USC Medical Center. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at USC School of Dentistry and is in private practice in the San Fernando Valley and Westlake Village, California.


Leonard Carapezza, DMD has over 20 years of clinical experience in pediatric orthodontics, including a successful private pediatric practice in Wayland, Massachusetts. Shortly after establishing his practice, he identified the extreme importance of early treatment of malocclusion. His clinical achievements have brought him recognition as a lecturer in the early treatment of malocclusion. Presently, Dr. Carapezza is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, teaching early treatment of malocclusion to pedodontic graduate students. He is also an associate of the New England Medical Center.


Jacob Lee, DDS, received his DDS from the University of Toronto. He interned at the Hospital for Sick Children, in Toronto and earned his Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He was a faculty member at Loma Linda University, Director of the Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University Minnesota, Chairperson of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, the Dental Director of the Children’s Dental Health Clinic and the Director of the USC Pediatric Dental Residency Program at Miller Children’s Hospital, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.


Jerald H. Simmons, MD, received his degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. His Neurology residency was at Washington University Barnes Hospital. In addition, his fellowship in sleep disorders medicine was at Stanford University. Dr. Simmons is board certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Technical Director of the UCLA Sleep Disorders Center in Los Angeles and currently the Director of the Sadler Clinic Sleep Disorder Center in The Woodlands, Texas, Medical Director of New Millennium Diagnostics in California and Rest Technologies.
