| HELP AND SUPPORT
Need help with a particular case? Not sure whether you can create space for the
lower crowded anteriors? Having problems adjusting an appliance? You would be
amazed at the myriad of questions that we get asked on a regular basis.
Regardless of the questions, one thing is for certain, yours are important and
getting them answered in a timely fashion is even more imperative. Because we
have so many ways to help you get the answers you need, let’s outline the most
common methods here:
Self Support
Just by visiting the Knowledge Base on our web site you will be able to find the
answers to most of your questions. We cover everything from how to take an
impression to how to cement a bracket. Our and our are even available
online.

The Patient is in Your Chair - A True Emergency
A fixed appliance is loose and you do not know the proper way to remove it and
re-cement it or you would like to remove a bite plane so the patient can
continue to use their appliance as a retainer, and the patient is in the chair.
When something comes up and it just can’t wait, you can usually find the answer
to your question online simply by visiting our web site. But you can also give
us a call and ask to speak to one of our diagnostic staff. Just tell them that
you have a patient in the chair and our next available diagnostic team member
will come to your assistance.
You have a diagnostic question or think you would like to treat a patient but
are not sure if it is something that you can do.
Sometimes you just need a little information. For example, your patient has a
deep bite with crowded lower anteriors. You may need to know what records are
needed to help you evaluate the case. Will models be enough? Will you need a
construction bite? Will you need photos? Will you need x-rays? What type of
x-rays? Every case is different, so being able to talk to an expert is
important. When this is the case just give us a call and ask to set up an
appointment with one of our design staff. This will allow you to talk
“one-on-one” with one of our appliance design experts so all of your questions
and/or concerns can be addressed. This eliminates the possibility of pulling
you away from a patient and allows you to have the necessary records to discuss
the case in front of you.
Getting You on the Phone
A Case in the Lab That Says “Please Call”
It is not uncommon for many doctors to write on their lab slip “Please call”.
When this is the case one of our staff will call your office to set up an
appointment with the doctor and one of our design staff. This will allow you to
talk “one-on-one” with one of our appliance design experts so all of your
questions and/or concerns can be addressed. This eliminates the possibility of
pulling you away from a patient and allows you to have records to discuss the
case in front of you.
Telephone Consultations, Charges, and Time
First, we will do everything we can to respect your time by setting
appointments and eliminating phone tag between you and our office. Telephone
consultations will be charged on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to help you.
If your case demands more attention than a phone consult we will ask for
further records at the time of the consultation so that you can get a true
Second Opinion from our staff clinician.
